She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Frank Hamilton McElroy, Jr.; her children, Alasha Mikell (Lee) and Hamilton McElroy (Charlsie); her grandchildren, Mercedes McElroy (Stephen Maddox), Cayden McElroy, Morgan Mikell, Savannah Mikell and Dennis Mikell (Sarah); her parents, Paul Mack Mayo and Mildred Stone Mayo; her siblings, Arie Heard and Susan Almond; and her sister-in-law Martha Bennett. She was also cherished by many brothers and sisters-in-love, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Quitman.
