He was predeceased by: his parents, Verdean F. Owens and Janice Naylor Owens. He is survived by: his wife Janie Hamlett Owens; his sister-in-law Raenel Hamlett of Clermont, Florida; his sons, Scott Owens (Paula) of Cramerton, Ryan Owens (Lisa) of Parker, Colorado and Matt Wilson (Nayoung) of Washington, Utah.; his grandchildren, Joshua Owens of Parker, Colorado, Kylee Owens and Keaten Owens of Mt. Holly; his brother Dennis Owens (Jody) of Sterling, Illinois; and his stepsister Carolyn Pickering of Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by several nieces and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Cornerstone Hospice Foundation.
