She is survived by: her children, Jim Hightower and Phyllis Nichols; and her siblings, Hollis McGhee, Leon McGhee and Frances Rampley. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home (535 Red Bud Rd NE, Calhoun, GA 30701). The lying in state will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
