It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Elizabeth Petty of Ranger, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on February 21, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnie Thomas Baker and Lizzie Wood Baker; her husband Thomas Q. Petty; and her siblings, Annie Ruth Baker Mauldin and John Thomas Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Renee Petty, Richard Petty (Valinda) and Thomas Aaron Petty (Renae); her grandchildren, Marshall Petty (Faith), Montana Petty, Brittany Bowling (Aaron) and Gus Petty; her great grandchildren, Sophia, Amelia and Stetson Bowling; and her sister Josephine Pharr.
