He was predeceased by: his parents, Dilborn Palmer and Pearlie Palmer (Browning); his wife Mary Belle Palmer (Suggs); his son Terry Alan Palmer; and his siblings, Jake Palmer, J. L. Palmer and Polly Pruitt.
He is survived by: his son Jeff; and his daughter-in-law Pam Palmer of Ray City, Georgia. He is also survived by five grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
