He is survived by : his wife Jeanette Googe Atkinson of Reidsville; his children, Josephine Dixon (William Oliver) of Reidsville, Sadie Andrews (Al Mitchell) of Claxton and Jimmy Ray Dixon of Milledgeville; his siblings, Betty Sue Nipper Cranford (Collin) of Douglas, Billy Atkinson (Brenda) of Canada and Ronald Atkinson (Madine); his sister-in-law Winifred Atkinson of Denton; and his grandchildren, Rachel Oliver, Thomas Dixon, Allison Bailey, Austin Bailey, Claire Bailey and Claxton Bailey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
