He was predeceased by : his former life partner Deanie Cranmer; his parents, Francis William Cranmer, Sr. and Mary Cranmer; his stepson Danny Kersey; his stepson-in-law Pete Day; and his brother Chuck Cranmer.

He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Jackson Kersey Cranmer of Reidsville; his children, Tina Wisnoski (Ralph) of Florida, Carolyn Putt of Mississippi, Connie Rash (Wayne) of Florida, Charlene Cranmer Dangerfield of Florida, Michael Francis Cranmer of Florida and Kerry Gurley (Dale) of Mississippi; his stepchildren, Sandra Kersey Day of Lyons, Kathy Kersey Marchand (Jim) of McDonough, Sherry Kersey Chandler (Greg) of Burke County, Lindy Kersey Horne (Keith) of Vidalia and Stacy Kersey Todd (Ricky) of Lyons; and his brother Herb Cranmer of California. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
