She was predeceased by: her parents, G. L. Durrence and Joyce Waters Durrence; her husband John Louis Woods, Sr.; her brother-in-law Gerald W. Dasher; and her sister Pam Durrence Dasher.
She is survived by: her children, Claire Woods Peterson (Bob) and John Louis Woods II (Katherine); her grandchildren, Isabella, Bastian, Eve Peterson, Sloan and Ellis Woods; her niece Paige Dasher Mulligan (Mike); and her nephew Walt Dasher (Anita). She is also survived by numerous great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Loves Chapel Primitive Baptist Church (3410 Loves Chapel Rd, Glennville, GA 30427). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
