He was predeceased by : his parents, Bennie Gaston and Doris Catherine Rowell (Jones); and his daughter Michele McClellan. He is survived by : his wife Betty Jane Slater of Reidsville; his son Gaston; his daughter-in-law Nicole Rowell of McRae; his daughter Veronica; his sons-in-law, Lyn Burkhalter of Hoschton, GA and Don McClellan of Silver Creek, MS; and his grandchildren, Mollie (Kenneth Bailey), Randall (Chloe Shoemaker), Reba Burkhalter, Lauren Burkhalter, Caleb Rowell, Nicholas Rowell and Lance Burkhalter. He is also survived by other relatives, church family, previous co-workers, and countless friends.
