She was predeceased by: her parents, E. O. Mays and Lillian Meyers Mays; and her son David Simmons. She is survived by: her husband Sammie D. Simmons of Carrabelle, Florida; and her son John Keith Simmons (Cendi) of Reynolds.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery.
