He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Clyde Butts and Vera Una Dominick Butts; his brothers, Bill Butts and Robert "Bob" Carlton Butts; and his pet Buster.
He is survived by: his friends, George Cobb, Joe Sanders, Buck Jones, Gerald McGlaun, Buddy Galloway, Merrill Smith, Bob McGlaun and Bobby Harris; his sister Judy Colvin (Tony); his nephew Tony Colvin, Jr.; his nieces, Lynda Moore and Lorri Hurst; and his pet Patsy. He is also survived by six great nieces and nephews, one great-great niece; his loving companion.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Harmony Cemetery (701 Ponder St, Richland, GA 31825). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
