It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dorothy Jordan Bacon (Rincon, Georgia), born in Lyons, Georgia, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, D. C. Jordan and Lester Bacon, Sr.; her daughter Rhonda Stanford; her parents, Ira Barbee and Bertie Barbee; and her siblings, Jewell, Johnny and Troy Barbee.
She is survived by: her children, Marsha Lepley (Buzz) of Pooler, Nancy True (Larry) of Arizona and DeWayne Jordan, Sr. (Dede) of Rincon; and her siblings, Alvin Strickland (Susan) of Iowa, Jeannette King and Wynell Seargeant. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons, West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
