He was predeceased by: his wife Darlene; his parents, Majors Carlton and Sallie Mae Butler; his sister Sarah Butler Kelley (Sidney); and his brother-in-law Teddy Kyriakidis.
He is survived by: his siblings, John Butler (Florence) of Plano, TX and Betty Butler Kyriakidis of Chattanooga, TN; and his children, Carl, Angie and Evangeline. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
