He was predeceased by: his parents, Wash Cawood and Lillie Armstrong Cawood; his wife Maudie Hicks Cawood; and his siblings, Nixon, Edward, Jimmy, Henley Cawood and Louise Cawood.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Jordan of Marietta, GA, Joy Whaley (Terry) of Ringgold, GA and Phil Cawood (Connie) of Ringgold, GA; his grandchildren, Nathan Jordan, Ben Jordan (Emily), Kam Jordan, Mary Anne Riddle (Jonah), Will Whaley (Kelsey), Aaron Cawood (Amanda) and Emily Edens (Philip); and his sister-in-law Bettye Cawood. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Tennessee Chapter.
