He was predeceased by: his parents, James Chambless and Jewel Ward; his sons, Jeff Bearden and Timothy Chambless; his siblings, Melvia Ferris, Raymond Chambless and Rayburn Chambless; and his son-in-law Greg Gates.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Bearden Chambless; his daughter Billie Cobbler (Mike); his brother Floyd Chambless (Marylin R.); his sisters-in-law, Marylin E. Chambless and Marie Chambless; and his grandchildren, Amber Michelle, Amber Lynn, Raindy Bearden (Austin), Rebekah Bearden, Selena Walden (Jake), Trey Chambless and Dustin Chambless. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Homes Wallis-Stewart Chapel (443 Boynton Dr, Ringgold, GA 30736). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
