He was predeceased by : his parents, Georgia Mae Dinsmore and William Franklin "Billy" Cain; his daughter Tiffany Lynn Cain; and his sister Sandra Pitts. He is survived by : his wife Brenda Cain; his daughters, Kymberly Jones (Tony) and Candi Gracy (Ray); his grandchildren, Trevor Jones (Taylor), Cain Stover and Georgia Gracy; his great grandchild Walker Jones; and his sisters, Barbara Davis, Brenda Elliott (Ray), Debbie Williams (Sid) and Debbie Haddock (Donald). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). The lying in state was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Catoosa Baptist Tabernacle (4994 US-41, Ringgold, GA 30736).
