It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Dee Ann McDaniel of Ringgold, Georgia, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Dee J. Oaks and JoElla Pack Oaks; and her brother David Oaks. She is survived by : her husband Bobby Ray McDaniel; her daughters, Temple Brookshire (Mike), Tracey McLoughlin and April Thornton (Mike); and her grandchildren, Chase Brookshire (Lauren), Chloe Coley (Austin), Tatum McLoughlin, Miles McLoughlin, Zach Thornton, Chase Thornton and Whitaker Thornton. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Lakewood Memory Gardens (325 Greens Lake Rd, Rossville, GA 30741).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
