In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Martha leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Martha may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She is survived by: her husband Leroy Chase; her children, Karen Wolfe (Bubba), Adam Smithers (Sarah) and Virginia Brooks (James); her stepchildren, Tina Hamilton (Robert Sr.), Donna McGinnes (Clifton), Lisa Gragg (Randall) and Chris Snipes (Melissa); and her sister Linda Chastain (Bert). She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation of Greater Chattanooga in Martha's memory.
