It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Thomas Hawthorne of Ringgold, Georgia, born in Morganton, Georgia, who passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Viola Thomas (Lynn) and Joe B. Thomas (GA); and her brother J. B. Thomas. She is survived by : her sister Ruth Ann Guenterberg (CA); her children, Jo-Lynn Hawthorne (Duane Gibson) of Greeneville, Jan Chesney of Orlando, Jerry Hawthorne (Sheila) and Julie Thomas of Ringgold, GA.; and her grandchildren, Duane Jr., Darren, Derek, Dana Gibson, Elizabeth, Grace-Anne Hawthorne, Dylan and Matthew Thomas.
