Sandra Ruth Reiss Obituary

We announce the death of Sandra Ruth Reiss of Ringgold, Georgia, who passed away on September 8, 2026, at the age of 87. Sandra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Sandra will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Sandra will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Sandra’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elton Cannon and Ruth Hawkins Cannon; and her husband Jack Reiss. She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca Morrison (Kevin); her grandchildren, Maris Rennolds (James Beene), Elijah Rennolds and Azlyn Rennolds; her great grandchild Jack Beene; and her siblings, Cherie Bittaker and Burke Cannon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those wishing to honor Sandra's memory consider making a donation to Baptist World Missionary Outreach Ministries (BWMOM), an organization closely connected to the ministry that was such an important part of Jack and Sandra's lives and that continues their shared passion for sending missionaries throughout the world to share the Gospel.
