It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steven Wayne Degitz of Ringgold, Georgia, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lewis and Yvonne White Degitz; and his siblings, Vickie Schaffan, Patricia Degitz and Richard Degitz.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Jean Carr Degitz of Ringgold, GA; and his children, Lamona Ruth Tabor (Robert) of Florence, Brian Degitz of Denver, Tiffany Annette Degitz of Florida, Jenny Peterson (Branden) of Ringgold, Georgia and Michael Kelly (Kelci) of Chattanooga. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Homes - Ringgold Chapel (443 Boynton Dr, Ringgold, GA 30736). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
