He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lewis and Yvonne White Degitz; and his siblings, Vickie Schaffan, Patricia Degitz and Richard Degitz.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Jean Carr Degitz of Ringgold, GA; and his children, Lamona Ruth Tabor (Robert) of Florence, Brian Degitz of Denver, Tiffany Annette Degitz of Florida, Jenny Peterson (Branden) of Ringgold, Georgia and Michael Kelly (Kelci) of Chattanooga. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
