She was predeceased by: her husbands, Mertie Richard Sims and Albert "Peedab" Woodard; her parents, Cleveland Barbare and Lena Mann Barbare; and her siblings, Harold Barbare, Joyce Ferguson, Bobbie Thomson, Fred Barbare, Vernon Dexter Barbare, Cleveland "Buck" Barbare, Mike Barbare and Jeffrey Barbare.
She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Wattenbarger (Darrell) and Mertie Richard "Ricky" Sims, Jr. (Debbie); her grandchildren, Richard Lee Sims (Karlie), Katie Williford (Tommy), Stacie Wattenbarger, Brad Wattenbarger, Kim Payton and Missy Keen; and her great grandchildren, Brayden, Bella and Addie Mae. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home (121 W Villanow St, LaFayette, GA 30728).
