She was predeceased by: her husband James Carey Leigh; her parents, Jewell Grace Johnson Burns and Jefferson Brisco Burns; her sisters, Emma Lou Burns Seignious and Fonda Rose Abercrombie; and her grandson Wesley "Blaine" Banther.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Gray (B. J.) of Greeneville, TN and William Jeffrey Leigh of Ringgold; her grandchildren, Gabriel, Jacy Lafever Leigh of Ringgold, Kevin and Hannah Knight of Greeneville, TN; her great grandchildren, Paisley Hinkle of Greeneville, TN, Brayden Knight of Greeneville, TN and Kayden Knight of Greeneville, TN; and her cousin Goodwill. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Anne has donated her body to the University of Tennessee Anthropology Department and continues to give of herself even after death.
