We announce the death of Hugh L. Johnson of Riverdale, Georgia, born in Houlka, Mississippi, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 74. Hugh will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Leland Johnson and Virginia Myrtle Buchanan Johnson; his wife Emily Jane Moore Johnson; and his siblings, Joseph Johnson, Judith Linton and Alice Faye Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Johnson, Jonathan Johnson (Kristina) and Michelle Johnson; his granddaughter Paige Johnson; and his brother Clyde Johnson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home (1891 W McIntosh Rd, Griffin, GA 30223).
