It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Leatherwood (Riverdale, Georgia), who passed away on May 12, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Wallace Deaton and Madeline Cunningham Deaton. She is survived by: her husband Bobby Leatherwood; her children, Barry Leatherwood, Paula Kelley (Kent), Matt Leatherwood (Andrea), Robb Leatherwood (Katie) and Daniel Leatherwood (Brittany); her brother Johnny Deaton (Marlene); and her grandchildren, Andrew, Catie, Kayla, Mills, Gabe, Jeshua, Cooper, Ean, Brielle, Emmerson, Khloey-Anne, Owen, Beckett, Theodore, Addilyn, Everett and Ellyanna.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crossroads Church (2564 GA-154, Newnan, GA 30265). A reception will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (Formerly the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery) (6390 Riverdale Rd, Riverdale, GA 30274).
