It is with sadness that the passing of Bessie P. Williams (Rochelle, Georgia) is shared. Bessie, born on July 17, 1944 in Cordele, Georgia, passed away on October 13, 2026. Bessie will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Bessie by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Bessie is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Bessie’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward Peters and Martha Williford Peters; and her siblings, Alan, Thomas Peters, Nancy Barry and Opal Roberts.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin Joe Williams; her son Billy Peters; her stepdaughters, Mary Williams and Cissy Sanchez; her brother William "Pete" Peters; Mary Williams. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the M. G. Frazier Memorial Chapel (1016 4th Ave, Rochelle, GA 31079).
