He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Harden, Sr. and Dimple Roberts Harden of Fitzgerald; his wife Carol Keene Harden; his great grandchild Mason Harris; and his siblings, James E. Harden, Jr., Maurice Harden and Betty Uzzell.

He is survived by: his children, Mark Harden (Jimmie Lynn) of Wilcox County, Jeff Harden (Lynn) of Wilcox County, Susan Stubbs (Randall) of Wilcox County and Stevie Harden (Lisa) of Wilcox County; his grandchildren, Dawn Harris (Billy), Heather Harden, Jeffrey Harden (Jason), Justin Harden (Kristin), Caroline Stubbs, Lauren Stubbs, Abigail Beddow (Brooks), Ansley Harden, Anna Carol Harden and Zach Gibbs (Summer); his great grandchildren, Dawson Harris, Eli Harris, Owen Harris, Emma Harris, Ryley Harris, Hinleigh Harden, Everleigh Harden, Jocelyn Harden and Stetson Gibbs; and his grandsons, Dawson Harris, Eli Harris, Owen Harris and Ryley Harris. He is also survived by children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
