He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryant Owens and Avia Richardson Owens; and his siblings, Gerald, Wayne, Frank Owens, Barbara Ann Bridges, Glenda Peters and Gracie White.
He is survived by: his son Scotty Owens (Gina); his grandchildren, Mackenzy Owens, Madison Owens and Maggie Owens Whitley (Jake); his great grandchildren, Wyatt Whitley and Tony Owens (Linda); his grandchildren, Casey Owens (Dale), Rhine, Ga Megan Newton-Norman (Nick), Natalie Denniston (Billy), Brooke Poss (Josh) and Bailey Owens; his great grandchildren, Curtis Owens, Casen Owens, Maddie Newton, Nash Newton, Atticus Denniston and Elias Poss; his sister Eva Jo Jackson (Dave); and his daughter Opal Rountree. He is also survived by several niece and nephews.
