He is survived by: his wife Sue Cain; his children, Dana Maxwell Costlow (Scott), Jay Maxwell and Sherri Lynn Cain Rodriguez; his grandsons, Will Costlow (Hannah) and Max Costlow (Kelly); and his siblings, Susann Cain Heape (Sherwood) and Edward Allen Cain.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to Rockmart Second Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Cain.
