He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Atkins and Kate "Katie Bell" Waddle Atkins; his siblings, Roger Atkins, Cecil Atkins, Euzell Atkins, Barbara Sorrells Bennett, Hazel York and Ernestine Bowman Gray; and his stepson Stephen King.
He is survived by: his wife Sybil Atkins; his daughters, Lisa Thomas (Randy) and Sabrina Powell (Raymond); his stepchildren, Tammy Johnson and Tommy King (Dana); his stepdaughter-in-law Tricia King; his grandchildren, Makayla Green (Kamry), Jessica Graham, Rebecca Lopez (Frannie), Craig Graham, Tiffany Hebert (Randy), Kyle King and Erin Rogers; and his siblings, Jesse Atkins (Peggy) and Linda Braselton. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home and Crematory (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Beulahland Baptist Church Cemetery (229 Pleasant Grove Rd, Rockmart, GA 30153).
