With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bobby Eugene Shirah of Rockmart, Georgia, who passed away on July 10, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bunyon Eugene Shirah and Jewell Shackleford Shirah; and his son Nathan Floyd Shirah. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Benefield Shirah; his sons, Stanton Shirah (Beverly) and Marty Bevins (Miranda); his grandchildren, Marlana Pratt, Paige Shirah Orcutt, Zachary Stanton Shirah, Paizley Shirah, Cole Shirah, Taylor Shirah (Madison), Elle Shirah, Malachi Shirah, Rainn Shirah, Makenzie Bevins, Marty Bevins, Jr. (Haley), Mirista Watts, Mileia Pollard (Samuel), Waylon Bevins and Mikaylin Bevins; and his great grandchildren, Don Andrew Orcutt, Cruz Holtsclaw, Khaza Elkins, Zaylon Shirah, Maelynn Bevins, Mercii Shirah, Baker Shirah and Cohen Jones.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Calendar Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Calendar Church of God (31 Sardis Rd, Rockmart, GA 30153).
