He was predeceased by: his wife Aileen McDowell Brewer; his former wife Evelyn Cook Brewer; his brother Junior Brewer; and his stepgranddaughter Detective Kristen Hearn. He is survived by: his son Ronald "Ronnie" Brewer (Patricia); his grandson Jonathan "Matt" Brewer (Sebrinia); his stepgrandson Joseph Montgomery; and his stepchildren, Karen Ingle (Danny) and Ricky Cook (Paula). He is also survived by three great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
