She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Milford Garrett and Lelia Pearl Lee Garrett; and her siblings, Evelyn Cleveland, Mary Ann Moss and Milford Odell Garrett.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Wayne Purser; her daughters, Amanda Loveless (Chris) and Martie Purser; her grandchildren, Emily Drew Loveless and Eli Parker Loveless; and her brother Charles E. "Tooter" Garrett.
