He was predeceased by: his parents, John Allen Hampton and Pauline West Hampton Molock; his former wife Ellie Tanner Hampton; his stepfather Hugh Molock; and his siblings, Edna Mosley, Harlon, Paul, Eugene and John Allen Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Jean Mills Hampton; his daughter Laura Oliver (Tommy); his grandson John Bray (April); and his great grandchildren, Cody Bray (Haley) and Caleb Bray (Becka). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and several other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home (106 N College St, Cedartown, GA 30125). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
