We announce the death of Ronald Edward Brackett (Rockmart, Georgia), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 85. Ronald’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floy Brackett and Homer Brackett; and his wife Linda Caldwell Brackett. He is survived by: his sister Janice Brackett Terry. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Alvis Miller and Son Funeral Home (304 W Elm St, Rockmart, GA 30153). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those wishing to honor Ron's memory to consider a gift to First Baptist Church of Rockmart or to the City of Rockmart to go toward the continued beautification of the Silver Comet Trail in Rockmart, two places that were meaningful to him and the community he called home.
