In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Sarah Ruth leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Sarah Ruth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ray Ferguson and Dolly Strange Ferguson; her husband Van Lumpkin; her son-in-law Randy Arp; her grandson Keith Arp; her great grandchild Patrick Carroll; and her siblings, Ina Sue Brumbelow and Ray Ferguson.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Tuck (Cynthia), Lori Arp and Charles V. Lumpkin, Jr. (Jackie); and her sister Betty Shoaf. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery (750 Prospect Rd, Rockmart, GA 30153).
