She was predeceased by : her parents, Denman Cothren and Eva Cothren; her children, Douglas Edward Cothren, Lou Ellen Gentry, Margaret Elizabeth Franklin and Lillie Mae Lancaster; and her son-in-law Michael Stalcup.

She is survived by : her siblings, Ronnie Cothren (Lisa), James Cothren (Lisa), Robert Cothren (Shirley) and Sara Jane Stalcup; her grandchildren, Felicia Brown, Trina, Bella, Hunter and Haylee Youngblood; and her caregiver Teresa Alexander. She is also survived by extended family members and many friends.
