He was predeceased by: his parents, K. C. Holmes and Doris Holmes; his granddaughter Tiffany Davidson; and his siblings, Raymond Holmes, Billy Holmes, Randy Holmes, Teresa Carroll, Cathy Dorran and Linda Reinhart.
He is survived by: his wife Sheena Holmes; his children, Clayton Holmes, Finnley Holmes, Mandy Ptak, Ebany Holmes, Zophia Holmes, Donna Spillers and Melanie Pfohl; his siblings, Betty Taylor, Shirley Taylor, Tommy Holmes, Kenneth Holmes, Garland Payne, Howie Littles and Thomas Holmes; his grandchildren, Ashton Ptak, Chris Pfohl, Bradly Pfohl, Melissa Melvin, Brendan Grayson, Corey Spillers and Zoe Grayson; and his great grandchildren, Elijah Pfohl, Seth Pfohl, Ethan Pfohl and Adaline Melvin. He is also survived by Several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
