He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Gibson and Ethel Chance Gibson; and his brother Jack Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Sherrie Smith Gibson; his children, Chris Gibson of Duluth, GA and Laura "Beth" Gibson Harvey; his son-in-law Mark Harvey of Rossville, GA; his grandson Colin James Harvey; his brothers, Billy (Martha Gibson) and Beverly Gibson Sherman of Lafayette, GA; and his aunt Becky Chance of Dalton, GA. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.
