He was predeceased by: his parents, Enos Cook and Carrie Cook Mehaffey; his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Anne Cook; and his brother Glenn Mehaffey.
He is survived by: his sons, Bill (Kim Cook), Dale (Rebecca Cook) and Brian Cook of Chattanooga; his sister Doris; his brother-in-law Bernard Brown of Winter Haven; his grandchildren, Joshua Cook, Stephanie Cook, Seth Cook, James Bowman III and Alexander Cook; and his great grandchildren, Bentley Roberts, Reagan Roberts and Everly Roberts. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
