She was predeceased by: her husband Gary Bearden; her parents, Felix Martin and Ella Ruth Martin; and her siblings, Raymond Martin and JoAnn Caldwell.

She is survived by: her children, Rachel Kendrick of Rocky Face, Wayne (Janice Kendrick) and Smokey (Linda Kendrick); and her grandchildren, Ashley Kinsey (Chris), Amanda Jackson (Jason), Anna Whitten (Taylor), Tammy Robinson (David) and Adam Gay (Valarie). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
