He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Doyle Sumner Sr. and Betty Nixon; his stepfather Rod Nixon Sr.; and his brother Rod Nixon. He is survived by: his wife Stephanye Sumner; his children, James and Shannon N. Schorle; his granddaughters, Scarlet, Sarah, Savannah Schorle, Domino Tatum, Madilyn Rae Sumner, Payslei Annelise Blackwell and Brookelynn Jayce Sumner; his stepmother Vivian Winn; his mother-in-law Brenda Burger; his brothers, Dennis Nixon and Wesley Wooten; and his close friends, Mike Griffin Robert Ankney and Wiley Walden.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made toward his final expenses.
