Ms. Thelma Irene Cook, age 75 of Rocky Face, Georgia departed this life Thursday, September 25, 2025. She was born September 19, 1950 in London, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Otis and Anna Marie Bolton. She was also preceded in death by her son Brian Asher, granddaughter Allison Ridley, great grandson Alex Young, stepchildren, Jaunita Scaff, Mary Asher, Billy Asher, son-in-law John Hopkins, sister Janet Bolton Asher, sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Kenneth Carroll.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Vicki Bolton, Dewayne and Wilma Asher of Rocky Face, GA; stepchildren, Patricia Hopkins Asher, Brenda and Delbert Buckhart of London, KY, Gidget Kelly, James Asher of Huntington, IN; siblings, Charles and Carol Bolton of Peru, IN, Louise Dixon and Larry Washburn of Homosassa, FL, Mary Sizemore of London, KY, Murel and Geneva Bolton, Don Bolton of Tunnel Hill, GA, Della Morrison of Chatsworth, GA; 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Thelma Irene Cook will be held Monday September 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Adam Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. Jerry Bolton, Dewayne Asher, Jacob Dockery, Jadin Ridley, Michael Ridley and Anthony Duarte will serve as pallbearers . The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday until the service hour.
