It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Jo Thacker of Rome, Georgia, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Tumlin Carver and Vivian Emma Patrick Carver; her grandfather Judge John Henry Carver; her husband John Lidell Thacker; and her brother Michael Carver (Micky).

She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Sayer (Barry), Ann Baird (James) and Lori Jackson (Jim); her grandchildren, Meredith Rosson (Kevin) and Jordan Baird (Charis); her great grandchildren, Rett, John Luke, Lane, Kaitlin, Jaxon, Anslie, Kayleigh, Skylar and Virgil; and her siblings, Patricia Anderson (Phil) and Steve Carver (Becky). She is also survived by Nieces, Nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Georgia Baptist Children's Home, PO Box 329, Palmetto GA 30268, to honor the adoption of her great-grandchildren.
