He was predeceased by: his parents, Grady C. Tate and Cleo Whisenant Tate; his brother James Thomas Tate (Tom); his daughter Sheila Theresa Farrer (Terri); and his wife Evelyn Mae Tucker Tate.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Tate (Susan) of Rome, Dianne Campfield of Rome and Pam Gangemi (Al) of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friendship Baptist Church.
