She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Franklin Pledger and Gretha Smith Pledger; her former husband Roy B. Amos; her husband Alvin Franklin Pettyjohn; her great grandchild Gavin Amos; and her siblings, Jessie Atkins, Edna Pearl Hardin, Hershal "Sonny" Pledger and Wayne Pledger.
She is survived by: her children, Kay Alexander (Shon) and Buford Amos (Angie); her grandchildren, Holly McNabb (John), Dusty Amos (Jennifer), Krissy Amos, Lacey Merritt (Anthony), Amanda Schroeder, Chad Osborn and Brandon Osborn (Hutton); and her siblings, Mary Nell Evans, Irene Treadaway (Clay) and Burl Pledger (Lois).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the North Chapel (4900 Martha Berry Hwy, Rome, GA 30165). A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery (4526 Big Texas Valley Rd NW, Rome, GA 30165).
