He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur C. Tate and Essie Mae Tate; his siblings, Janet Waters and Donald Tate; and his brother-in-law Bill Waters.
He is survived by: his friend Doris Little of Canton, GA.; his wife Doris Little Tate; his children, Mark Dennis Tate (Melanie) of Rome, GA and Sylvia Tate Chesser (Jay) of Rome, GA; his granddaughter Jazzmine Loreto; and his sibling's children, Eric Waters (Kathy), Jean Evans, Bonnie Medford, Janet Bobeng (Greg) and Denise Huntley. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
