It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Lee Dean of Rome, Georgia, born in Franklin, Ohio, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Kenneth Harold Dean and Dora Maxine Dean (Clark). He is survived by: his wife Linda Dean of Rome; his children, Darrell Dean II (Leonora) of Flower Mound, TX and Lauren Dean of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Alexandrea Hadsall and Alyssa Daniel (Benja); his great grandchildren, Lilly Hadsall and Lainey Daniel; and his sister Bonnie Slagle. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth, Rome First United Methodist Church, or a charity of your choice.
