With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dartha Skeggs of Rome, Georgia, who passed away on May 25, 2025 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Dartha departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Dartha. Though Dartha may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Curtis Wilson and Betty Joyce Roberts Pledger; and her husband Mark Skeggs. She is survived by: her boyfriend Alan Evans; her daughter Bobbi Freeman (Keelan); her grandchildren, Kaylan Miller (Dakota) and Kaeden Freeman (Ally); her great grandchild Kyser Miller; and her siblings, Martha Wilson Hancock and William Wilson (Tammy). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oaknoll Chapel (2542 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
