She was predeceased by: her parent Hassie Catherine Williams Smith; her husband Dr. Jim Lee Rogers; her son Craig Dykes Rogers; her siblings, Dykes C. Smith, Jr., Dr. Darius A. Smith, Dr. Reuben J. Smith, Daniel E. Smith and Vera Smith Mauldin; and her siblings-in-law, June Smith, Wayne Bailey and James Mauldin.
She is survived by: her children, Rhett Lee Rogers (Renee), Susan Catherine Robbins (Freeman) and Allyson Rogers Dulaney (Barry, family: Tim, Tammy Kirkpatrick); and her siblings, Ann Smith (George), Ruth Smith Bailey, Dr. Leon Smith (Linda), Andrew Smith (Sandy), Dr. Amos Smith (Esther) and Jerry Smith (Terry). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army Homeless Shelter, Davies Homeless Shelter, Second Avenue Baptist Church Endowment Fund, Tunnel to Towers, Wounded Warriors, or St. Jude.
